「GUCCI（グッチ）」は創業者であるグッチオ・グッチが1921年に設立した伝統あるブランドであり、現在ではバッグや財布などの革小物からアパレルや時計・ジュエリーなど幅広い商品構成で展開。
グッチ・グループは1999年にPPR（現在はケリングに改称）に買収され、現在ではケリング・グループの中心的なブランドの一つ。ケリングは現在、サンローランやボッテガ・ヴェネタなど多くのラグジュアリーブランドを傘下に収めている。
現在のグッチのデザイナーは、クリエィティブ・ディレクターとして2015-16年ウィメンズ秋冬コレクションから就任したALESSANDRO MICHELE（アレッサンドロ・ミケーレ）。
アレッサンドロ・ミケーレは2002年にグッチに入社しトム・フォード時代からキャリアをはじめ、2006年にはレザーグッズのデザイン・ディレクターとなる。前任のフリーダ・ジャンニーニの元ではアソシエイト・クリエイティブ・ディレクターとして活躍していた。
